Yes, I've been away for a while. I've been doing a lot of research on starting a business and working on our wedding reception. I can't wait to tell you about the plans for our reception. It is going to be fantastic, but that's not what this post is about. Today's post is about pink things...specifically, pink bedrooms!
Doesn't this bed look comfy? I could see it myself curled up on this bed with a good book. Speaking of good books, right now I'm reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenigger. I saw the movie, and now I'm reading the book...but I digress. Back to the
inspiration. This is actually a room that I think I could do in our house, because the pink isn't over the top. However, this wouldn't work with our pets... hmmm...
Another great room! This is a room I would have loved to have had when I was single.
Just a touch of pink... I love the little table and the pillows.
Okay... I love love the bedding on this bed. It looks so cozy. I also love the padded headboard. It's probably too feminine for Jim though.
Now this is something that I could see working in our bedroom. I'm thinking about changing the curtains in our bedroom to something light and airy like these. Of course, I love the chandelier, but in our bedroom, the ceiling fan really does make a huge difference in how comfortable we are at night.
Sophisticated and pink. Who would have thunk it? I love how the dark frames and bench at the end of the bed look in this room. It's feminine, but it isn't so feminine that I couldn't see a man in the room.
This room is just so sweet... I love the white headboard. I really want to paint our bedroom furniture white, because our room is so heavy looking. In case you're wondering, the bedspread on this bed is my favorite shade of pink!
This is another view of an the second bedroom featured in this post... I really like the idea of using a desk right next to the bed.
What a cute pink table! I don't usually think about painting furniture pink, but it really works in this room.
This is probably one of my favorite pink rooms. LOVE the chandelier! Yes, I really would love to have a chandelier. I also love the white iron bed and the slipper chair.
Wallpaper!!!! Do you think it's coming back in style? It was out for quite some time, but I'm seeing it more and more. Now, I think the pink and white wallpaper in here looks fantastic... I'm not sure that I could live with it though... It might be a little too much for me, but I'd love to see it in person.
Doesn't this room make you feel like you should be able to speak fluent French? It is so rich looking. The wall color is great. Another chandelier.... sigh...
Okay. This one I truly think Jim might go for. I know he would love the dark walls, because he likes them in our living room. This room could easily be switched out to suit any color scheme... I love the pink, but the room could just as easily had blue accents instead and still looked fantastic.
This is probably my favorite bed, and LOOK another chandelier. The floors give it a very comfortable look...shabby elegance at it's best...
The more I see padded headboards, the more I like them. I just think they look so comfortable. I can imagine leaning against them with a good book. In this picture, I love the stacked boxes. I also love the way they used two small hanging chandeliers instead of table lamps. Have you ever noticed how much space table lamps take up. Of course, the pink is perfect...just as only pink can be.
Toodles!
