Spending Time with Mom

My Beautiful Mom

One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my mom. Today we went to breakfast and then shopping. I was surprised when she suggested getting together for breakfast, because she recently had Lap-Band surgery and I didn't know she was able to eat solid food yet. But, she can, so we went to Bob Evans.

Delicious Omelet

I don't know if you know this about Bob Evans, but if you tell them you want to split an omelet, they will split it for you and give you individual servings. I think that's really nice, because you feel like you're getting your own meal. As you might have guessed, that's what my mom and I did. We started doing that years ago when we realized that we were both ordering the same omelet and we were both leaving about half on our plates.  We took our time over breakfast and just visited.

Shop 'til you drop!

After we finished visiting at Bob Evans, we headed to the mall. Mom had Younker's coupons, so of course we had to find things to buy in order to use them. The only problem with those coupons is you had to have a Younker's card and they couldn't be combined with other coupons. That meant Mom had to go through the check-out three times in order to get the best price on everything. I don't have a Younker's card, so I have to pay her back for the things I picked out.

Finish off with Caffe' Latte!

I spent more money than I probably should have, but I had a really good time with my Mom. And I am so proud of her. She is doing so well following her surgery, and has already lost about 20 pounds after only about three weeks. She's already looking thinner, and she didn't get tired like she always did before when we would go out.
